‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Tamraght
Not a creature was stirring, not even a camel;
The surfboards were stacked by the wetsuits with care,
In hopes that a big swell soon would be there;
The surfers were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of perfect waves danced through their heads;
When down at the beach there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
When what to my wondering eyes should I see,
But Anchor Point right hander working perfectly!
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than eagles he’d sent this swell quick,
And I heard him exclaim, as he cruised out of sight:
“Happy surfing to all, and to all a goodnight!”
